Facial Oils - Which should I use?
When I started my skincare journey to rid of acne and always dry skin, I was advised constantly from product specialists to esthetician and even dermatologists to stay away from oils and any products that contains them. Of course that was many moons ago, where I did not have the luxury of social media and google. Eventually, what I found was that oils did help. It helped my dry skin. It also helped my acne prone skin. What I thought was causing my acne was not oils at all, but the products I was using that was stripping my skins' natural oils and irritating my acne.
Nobody is alike. There is an unmeasurable number of variables when it comes to good skincare, but there are so many factors contributing to our complexion that it becomes overwhelming to find a direction to go. There are things we can change and things we can’t. I have pigment and complexion, with some hyperpigmentation in my skin and a tendency to darken over the summer and dry during winter. I know my skin and I know when I'm going to get breakouts. We all want to take care of ourselves and to know how to adapt our skincare according to our skin needs.
